Always watching watches – Jaeger LeCoultre

Beverly Hills Watch gave me some serious heat to rock for the past couple weeks. A Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Geographic with an alligator Strap! This was my first time laying my hands on a Jaeger LeCoultre watch. It’s always so much fun to learn about different brands and expand knowledge about watches. Let me tell you a little about the brand and also what my personal thoughts are on this piece after wearing experimenting with it this past couple weeks.

Jaeger LeCoultre was founded in 1833 and has 185 years of watch making experience! All watches are designed and manufactured in the Jaeger LeCoultre house in Switzerland.

The specific Jaeger LeCoultre model I have been wearing is the Master Compressor Geographic. The watch is available from Previously Enjoyed in Beverly Hills. The term “Geographic” refers to the watches ability to track different timezones. I absolutely love this complication in a watch. It’s something I’ve never had but always kind of wanted to try. I’m from the East Coast of Canada (EST), I now live in California (PST). All of my family, friends, as well as businesses I work with are on a different time zone. This was such an easy way to track timezones. I used this feature a lot!

The next features that really jumped out at me were the 2 large crowns. I feel like they give the watch a killer silhouette and unique style. They are designed to make the watch fully waterproof. The crowns even have safeguarded arrows to let you know if the crowns are properly sealed and water ready.

Comfort is always a #1 priority for me. If the watch isn’t comfortable, it will literally sit in my safe… trust me… I have a few (watches that sit not safes ha!). Point is- buy a watch that you enjoy wearing! This Jaeger LeCoultre was 41.5mm and very comfortable for long term wear. Not to big and not to small. I’m not a huge fan of alligator straps. I find they can be tough and hard to break in (that’s why I don’t buy raw denim, lol), who has time for that in my opinion. This strap wasn’t tough in the slightest! It had never been worn before I took the watch it and was surprisingly soft and effortless to wear. My opinion has changed dramatically in regards to alligator straps, that is for sure.

With the size of the watch and style of the dials it almost has a sporty vibe to it. I think the strap dresses the piece up nicely though. My favourite look with the watch was wearing jeans with a t-shirt and flannel.

Overall – I highly recommend this watch from Previously Enjoyed and Beverly Hills Watch. The dial is really fresh and different and I like all the small details put into the watch. Great size for everyday use and good to dress up or casual wear. Big thumbs up from me. Price is pretty great to 🙂
