Add a Panerai to your life

Panerai is certainly a brand most watch people know about. Their designs have a shape that stands out from the crowd and demands attention. The people wearing their watches are loyal to the brand and are very outspoken about it. I personally don’t have a Panerai in my collection and I was welcoming an opportunity to test out the Panerai Luminor Marina Power Reserve from Previously Enjoyed this past week. Lets review this watch!

First off, the details. This watch is called the Panerai Luminor Marina Power Reserve 44mm – Automatic watch PAM00171 – It’s available for purchase here. Its water resistant up to 300 meters and is made with titanium. It has a 42 hour reserve which is showcased at the 5 o’clock position. My favourite part, the Black dial with luminous hands and hour markers. It has this minimalistic design with a modern twist.

My first impression when Armen from Previously Enjoyed showed me this watch was one of excitement and some nerves. Let me explain… I was super excited to have the ability to try a Panerai out. Like I mentioned, I don’t own one now and have often considered them when looking for a new timepiece. I was nervous because the size of the watch was large and it was on a metal bracelet. My 2 metal watches are 40mm and 41mm, this Panerai was 44mm so may take some getting used to.

Arman sized up the watch for me and I wore it straight out of the shop in Beverly Hills. It was a little chilly (for LA) and I had on a jacket. The watch slid nicely underneath my jacket and was basically unnoticeable. Let me tell you something I’ve learned while working with Previously Enjoyed Watches, if you don’t properly size your watch it will be uncomfortable. I’m 100% sure I was sizing all my watches a link too loose and that’s why they would bother me. I like the watch to be a part of me, not banging around and causing me to be annoyed by its presence. When a watch is properly fitted it can make a huge difference. I think the nerves I get when imagining wearing a larger watch on a metal band is because I have bad memories of wrongly sized watches. Long story short – zero comfort issues with this 44mm Panerai. *I should also note – the watch comes with rubber strap.

Another big plus is the power reserve feature displaying on the watch. I personally enjoy watching how these automatic watches work. It’s pretty neat to see how it winds itself and can last up to 42 hours on its reserve.

If you’re looking for a watch thats going to last you forever with a super timeless design, this may be the watch for you. Getting the rubber strap with it is a huge plus in my opinion. Get all the details about the watch and how to buy here Previously Enjoyed Watches. A huge thanks to Armen for continuing to allow me to test out his watches and tell you guys all about them.
