The Audemars Piguet (AP) ‘Diver’ made its much anticipated debut in 2012. It was in 1972 that AP introduced the ‘Royal Oak’ which really skyrocket the brand into its now glory. So, it was almost 40 years later, the ‘Diver’ was introduced. I have the pleasure of testing one out from my friends at Previously Enjoyed Watch. AP is a favourite brand of mine and having an opportunity to wear and test out a model I’m not familiar with is exciting! Let’s learn a little more together.
The ‘Diver’, with it’s octagonal shaped bezel and 8 hexigonal exposed screws certainly shares some similarities to its ‘Royal Oak’ cousin. It’s hand markers are very similar but larger then that of the ‘Royal Oak’. Its also the first time since 1972 that AP used the double line to represent the number marker 12. The dial showcases the trademark ‘tapisserie’ pattern that lets everyone know your watch stands out from the others.

Wearing this watch for the past couple days has been a lot of fun! This watch may be meant for diving, but it does a great job on land also. It’s 42mm diamter size makes this watch easy to wear and only 13.75mm thick (not that thick for a dive watch!), it was very comfortable! I’m personally big into aesthetics and I love how beautiful this watch looks on the wrist. I love how the rubber on the crowns contrasts the brushed metal and complements well with the rubber strap. This really is a wonderful piece from Previously Enjoyed Watches!
The Audmars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore ‘Diver’ is a very wearable watch. If you have been looking at ‘Diver’ watches, I suggest you check out the Audemars Piguet. From the research I’ve done the watch performs well for diving, but what I know for sure is it will be a great addition to someone collection very soon! Get it before its gone. And If you just love AP, this is a watch worth looking into!
