Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Vegas Strip Edition Reviewed

We are all currently living in some unprecedented times. Like many of you I’ve spent a lot of time at home catching up on things I’ve missed doing and trying to take care of many things I’ve been putting off for too long. It’s important we all do our part so we can get through this pandemic sooner rather than later. Because, let’s be real… we all miss life and living free! so with the extra time you currently have, keep reading so I can tell you about this super unique Audemars Piguet from Previously Enjoyed. Let’s talk about something fun, watches…

Since Audemars inception in 1875 the brand has been at the forefront of both design and innovation. Most recognized for the Royal Oak case design, that was inspired by the port holes of a navy ship. Its octagonal case design with hexagonal screws is Audemars Piguet most recognizable model.

Previously Enjoyed has me testing out an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Vegas Strip Edition watch! Audemars Piguet released this limited edition collection in 2010 and I think they did a tremendous job in encapsulating the city of lights. This watch was limited to 400 pieces and this just happens to be lucky #21!

Not only is this watch rare due to its limited production, but it comes with some pretty cool extras! The watch is presented in a case with a royal flush on it. It also includes 2 decks of limited AP playing cards. The inside of the box design looks like a card table. As mentioned before, the back of the watch also has “Las Vegas Strip” engraved in it.

Wearing this watch has been remarkable. For me the size is always so important and I believe anyone considering a new watch should put a great deal of emphases on this aspect. This watch is the “Offshore”, which is the larger version of the “Royal Oak”. I own a “Royal Oak Offshore” in 44mm that’s done in rose gold. It’s a heavy watch to wear. The “Vegas Strip” edition is 42mm and done is stainless steel / black PVD, it’s an extremely comfortable and easy watch to wear and enjoy on a daily basis. Another bonus, while I was looking through the cool box; I found a brand new rubber strap that could be swapped.

The black and red colour scheme used in the design of this chronograph is simply striking! The number markers and complications are all done in red and contrast the black tapisserie patterned dial brilliantly. The hour and minute hands are done in white so they stand out nicely and make it very easy to read. The alligator strap is back with red stitching. A great homage to the Las Vegas Strip and a well executed design by Audemars Piguet.
