Outfit of the day March 12.15

My outfit today has lots of little details. Starting with this super unique hoodie – Love the collar and the way it looks around the neck. Very different then any of my other hoodies. I paired it with the overcoat from Junya Watanabe. This coat is great in spring weather – not to warm but perfect to keep the chill out of your bones. The jeans are one of my favs from Fabric Brand & Co. Very light weight and will transition perfectly into summer. I can’t get enough of the Fabric Brand & Co denim… so unique. I popped the outfit with my python Louboutin high-tops.

Hope you like it as much as me – Here are the details.

Hoodie – Mostly Heard Never Seen (got mine from Ron Herman http://www.ronherman.com/category/Designers-Men-MostlyHeardRarelySeen

ENTREE Lifestyle – “Unknown collection”

ENTREE Lifestyle is not new to the fashion game. They have been around since 1999 and started in Brooklyn, NY. But it wasn’t until 2007 when things began to take off. The brand is carried in over 150 stores worldwide today. They have emerged as a growing streetwear brand, Entree Lifestyle embraces the underdogs who stay true to their aspirations amidst adversity.

What’s more expensive?

I wanted to show that sometimes you don’t have to pay the big bucks to get the big bucks look. I own both these T-shirts and this morning I couldn’t believe how similar they were… Similar except for the price that is. So I thought it would be fun to see who could pick which T was more expensive based on the look alone…

Well the results are in 👇👇👇

Alexander Wang – $75

Bread & Boxer – $28

Here is what I can tell you about the major differences in these tees. The Alaxander Wang one may be a little softer. It does have nicer finishing on the sleeves as well. The Bread & Boxer tee is soft also. It may not have the small details like the Alexander Wang tee but I’m still a big fan. The Alexander Wang also needs a little more TLC when being washed.

What have we learned today… I’m not really sure to be honest. I shouldn’t have paid more for the Alexander Wang tee… I’m not going to say that. I guess quality can be in the eyes of the beholder. I myself like both shirts and if I know I’m going to get a little dirty (baby puke), then I’ll probably lean towards the less expensive of the 2.

Outfit of the day Feb 27.15

I’m all about the plaid craze right now. So many ways to wear the button ups. And under a leather jacket is gives the look real edge. Paired with my gold Buscemi 100s (they have some cool new shoes out right now) and Dsquared denim. I can’t get over how soft the denim is wearing these jeans. My first pair… Won’t be my last. Have a great weekend 😎

Button up – NSF clothing

Jeans – Dsquared2

Shoes – Buscemi 100s

Leather jacket – scotch & soda

Belt kit – hermes

Rocking my waxed denim Rockstar pants to day. These have to be the most comfortable pants I own. Keeping warm with this diesel sweater. I think the different texters on the sweater and the long strings make this such a unique piece. I broke up the nutral colours with one of my own Love Of Distressing white tees.

Rockstar Denim – pants

Diesel – sweater

Love of Distressing – tee

Christian Louboutin – kicks

Hermes – belt

I love this sweater by the Australian brand Coogi – big names like Biggie Smalls made the brand famous in the 90s – now they are resurfacing. The oversized jacket by Kayne is great in the colder temps to layer under. And even if my Golden Goose kicks get a little dirty in this weather… No one will know the difference 😉 now that’s what I call smart style

Get your leather jacket out of your closet NOW!

Why can’t we wear our leather coats right NOW??!! Most of us only sport our leather jackets in fall and spring. Seems like a shame, no? We spend a lot of money on these pieces, so let’s see if we can get a little more use out of them. Too be honest, I’m getting a little tired of my parka right now. Here is my favorite way to keep leather garments in rotation all winter long… layering.
Layering is practical in cold weather, looks awesome, and you get to wear lots of different pieces all at once (like leathers)… bonus. The key is to make sure you don’t look sloppy. Keeping things fitted will help you look cool.  The pieces should look like you planned them, not like you got dressed in the dark.

Dressed up and layered up

Don’t be afraid to bundle your layers up by busting out a heavy knit sweater of fitted hoodie (love the look of a hood coming out of the collar of a leather jacket).

Kayne – rocking lots of layers in different lengths – utilizing the leather jacket even in cold weather while staying warm.

So please be inspired to give your biker jacket some good old winter love.  Rock on!

Today’s outfit features a colour block sweater – a pair of slim cut denim and Python sneakers. I want the look to focus on the shoes – therefore I’ve kept the rest of the outfit fairly neutral (or at least for me) 😉

Dsquared2 – denim
Orlebar brown – sweater
Moose knuckles – jacket
Louis Vuitton – belt
