My Guide to slip-ons & low-tops this spring & summer

I got so excited while researching this article. Slip-ons and low-tops are one of my favorite styles for the warmer weather. I can’t wait to have the warm air running around my exposed ankles while soaking up the beautiful summer heat. My top picks are below as well as some more affordable options. Hope you have as much fun as me checking them all out.

Different shades of blue today. This sweater is so cool – the neck is really open and I love the way is hangs. I went with the Kayne West APC bomber – it has a really boxy look with wide shoulders and hangs wide. I like the layered look and a sweater underneath it. Super comfy in these golden goose “slides”. Have a great Monday

While I’m doing some traveling (flying) I went with a cool but comfortable look. These Jean joggers are like wearing sweatpants – can’t get over this style. When traviling I like a shirt with a hood – so I can hide for a little rest in the air.

Another cool day – wearing on of my favourite top coats by Zadig & Voltaire. I wanted to be comfortable today as I’ve got a bit of travelling to do – this sweatshirt is the softest thing ever. I used the gold in my shoes and belt to give the outfit some “pop”.

LA… the way i see it

I just spent the last week on a short little vacation with my wife in Los Angeles. You could say that I like LA, but I would say “I friggin’ love LA”. Β  Why wouldn’t I? The weather is always perfect, it’s beyond beautiful with the ocean and mountains, and oh ya… the shopping ain’t too shabby either. Over the past 5 years I’ve traveled to LA lots. I want to try and figure out what I like so much about the place…

I love this sweater by the Australian brand Coogi – big names like Biggie Smalls made the brand famous in the 90s – now they are resurfacing. The oversized jacket by Kayne is great in the colder temps to layer under. And even if my Golden Goose kicks get a little dirty in this weather… No one will know the difference πŸ˜‰ now that’s what I call smart style

Get your leather jacket out of your closet NOW!

Why can’t we wear our leather coats right NOW??!! Most of us only sport our leather jackets in fall and spring. Seems like a shame, no? We spend a lot of money on these pieces, so let’s see if we can get a little more use out of them. Too be honest, I’m getting a little tired of my parka right now. Here is my favorite way to keep leather garments in rotation all winter long… layering.
Layering is practical in cold weather, looks awesome, and you get to wear lots of different pieces all at once (like leathers)… bonus. The key is to make sure you don’t look sloppy. Keeping things fitted will help you look cool.Β  The pieces should look like you planned them, not like you got dressed in the dark.

Dressed up and layered up

Don’t be afraid to bundle your layers up by busting out a heavy knit sweater of fitted hoodie (love the look of a hood coming out of the collar of a leather jacket).

So please be inspired to give your biker jacket some good old winter love.Β  Rock on!

Today’s outfit features a colour block sweater – a pair of slim cut denim and Python sneakers. I want the look to focus on the shoes – therefore I’ve kept the rest of the outfit fairly neutral (or at least for me) πŸ˜‰

Christian Louboutin – Python sneakers
Dsquared2 – denim
Orlebar brown – sweater
Moose knuckles – jacket
Louis Vuitton – belt
